Would you like to create your own colony? Well, the Nova Team is doing just that in their Humanities class!! In 3-4 people groups, each person has a role whether it’s keeping track of what the buy and sell or actually making the products. To get the role you wanted to play in your colony they had to write a paragraph on why they should get that role. The students had to keep in mind what they could grow depending on where they were their colony was. Everything that their colony made/grew they could bring it to the marketplace to sell. At the marketplace, they have to buy and sell what their colony needs, such as David Harris selling his colony's resource- meat. Izzy Nerad and Henry Williams, students from the Nova team, said that at this point most groups are in debt because they just bought all their materials to make their houses. They are creating the colonies to have a better understanding of what it was like during colonial times. They have another marketplace coming up. Hopefully they're not all in debt by the end.
